Tina Wilmott
Founder and President

For the past 20 years Tina Wilmott has directed and executed national and international public relations programs for companies serving the fitness and endurance sports industry as well as high tech start-ups and Fortune 500 companies. Her media relations expertise has resulted in coverage in major business publications including the Wall Street Journal, Fortune and Forbes as well as consumer favorites including Outside, Self, Runner’s World and many more.

Wilmott is also the founder of Endurance Sportswire, the first press release distribution service that reaches thousands of reporters and industry insiders interested in the endurance sports market. An established speaker, Wilmott most recently served on the media panel at the inaugural Triathlon America Conference. She also conducts media training and workshops on generating impactful media coverage for endurance sports events.

Prior to launching The Wilmott Group, she was the corporate communications director for more than four years at Active Network, Inc., a technology and media company that helps millions of people find and register for things to do and helps organizations increase participation in their activities and events. While there, Wilmott successfully combined both her passion for fitness and endurance sports with public relations, ultimately leading to the decision to eventually start her own firm.

An avid runner and mediocre triathlete, Wilmott serves clients nationwide and calls San Diego her home.
